Construction

construction-1

We consider construction to be the most serious type of activity in the industry.  It is the most in-depth in nature and requires the most amount of labour, materials, tools and machinery.  Construction involves demolition and site preparation before the project work starts.  After the site is ready, the fun begins; excavation, forming, and pouring concrete creates the base for the rest of the building. Structural framing with wood, steel or concrete gives way to closing in the structure and installing the plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.  Then the finishing starts.  Walls and ceilings go up, then the permanent cabinets and fixtures are installed.  After that the decorating begins; doors, trim, lighting fixtures, flooring and painting add the final touches to complete the project.  Whether it is a shed, garage, custom house, commercial building or condominium development, this is the process for a construction project of any size.
